Commercial Pilot License

For someone who wants to be paid to be a pilot. This person can work in the industry and have the coolest hobby that he gets paid to do.

	Be at least 18 Years old
	Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language.
	Hold a second class medical certificate
	Pass the written exam
	Pass the oral and practical exam

hours total flight time

	hours must be in a powered
	aircraft of which 50 hours must be in helicopters 100 hours of pilot-in-command flight time which includes at least: 35 hours in helicopters 10 hours in cross-country
	hours solo
	including: 5 Hours of night flight. 1 Cross country with landings of a minimum of three points, with one segment of at least 50 NM.
	hours flight training (dual)
	including: 10 hours of instrumental training 2 hours day cross-country of more than 50 NM 2 hours night cross-country of more than 50 NM 3 hours within 60 days before check-ride
	hours solo
	including: 5 Hours of night flight. 1 Cross country with landings of a minimum of three points, with one segment of at least 50 NM.

FAA Minimum

100 Hrs in aircraft
(50 must be in helicopter)

100 Hrs pilot in command flight time
including:
(35 hours in helicopter)
(10 hours XC in helicopter)

10 Hrs Instrument Training in aircraft

4 Hrs XC Grd School
(2 hours day, 2 hours night)

10 hours of Solo Flight Time
(5 hours must be in night VFR conditions)

3 hours preparation for flight test
